A ball thrown at time t = 0 with initial velocity of v1 in the x direction and v2 in the y direction will follow the parabolic curve x = v1t, y = v2t - 16t2. The curve (Figure 10.6.2) has the vector equation X = v1ti + (v2t - 16t2)j. Figure 10.6.2
