Gemini 3 photograph of Arizona and Mexico. Yuma, Arizona and the Colorado river are at the Upper center, and the Great Sonora Desert is at lower left. The dark area at the bottom right is a large volcanic field, Cerro del Pinacate. This northwest looking view was taken on the 2nd of Gemini 3's three orbits. The Cerro del Pinacate is about 125 km from Yuma. (Gemini 3, S65-18741)
