Voyager 2 color image of Uranus's satellite Ariel taken from 170,000 km. The 50 km diameter crater Melusine, centered at 53S, 9 E, is visible just above the center. The south pole is below and right of center. Note the complex network of chasms at the upper left. Ariel is 1,160 km in diameter. The picture was made by combining green, blue and violet filter narrow angle camera images. (Voyager 2, P-29523)
