Uranus' Satellite Titania
Color Image From 500,000 Km

Voyager 2 color image of the Uranian satellite Titania. This picture is a composite of two images made through the violet and clear filters from 500,000 miles, shortly before the spacecraft's closest approach to Uranus on 24 January, 1986. At a diameter of 1580 km, Titania is Uranus' largest satellite. A large, trenchlike feature can be seen near the terminator at middle right and a basin at the upper right. This image has a resolution of about 9 km. (Voyager 2, P-29509)
