Searching for Knowledge

With the advent of the ISSU, computer searches will become a search for knowledge not information and if you understand the Language of ISSU it will lead you to what you want to know. Since the understanding engines of ISSU will enforce its language rules there will be no ambiguity in what information it does present. The truth behind the knowledge you get from ISSU will be verifiable by simply requesting a proof if you feel it necessary. You will get clean compact statements of fact about just what you wanted to know. It will be quite a different experience from that of the search engines of today.

When people actually experience this connection to true knowledge it will be like being part of a much larger mind. By simply talking to your issulizer you will connect yourself to a planetary mind containing virtually all human knowledge. At first this planetary mind will be distributed across millions of different computers all connected to the Internet. This will actually be a throwback to an information age mentality of distributed computing. To make the ISSU most effective there should be only a single knowledge base that serves everyone on the planet.

Having a single knowledge base prevents the possibility of some true knowledge or contradictions from getting lost due to the failure of some remote computer. It also reduces the possibility of knowledge corruption from unauthorized reproduction. This may sound like we would be putting all our eggs in one basket but this would not be the case. The single public knowledge base of the planetary mind would be duplicated all over the planet and even in outer space. By connecting these duplicate knowledge bases together in real-time they would all be constantly updated as new knowledge is developed. This redundancy would prevent any catastrophe from destroying the knowledge base. It would also give users the confidence that they are accessing the latest and greatest knowledge that human kind has to offer.
