Beyond the Information Age discusses a new way of thinking about computers, knowledge and understanding. See the editorial for more information....

As we move on into this new age, humans by necessity will develop a new mentality closely aligned with the knowledge of the planetary mind. The space public library will put everybody on the same knowledge base and education as we know it will cease to exist. Memorizing information like what is done in our schools today will seem ridiculous. Human memory will be used primarily to store links to knowledge in the planetary mind. Children will be educated by giving them a specialized issulizer to accompany them in the crib and they will learn what they need to know directly from ISSU and the planetary mind. All in all this new knowledge will make for a very strange new society from what we have today.
