Example 10
EXAMPLE 10 ∫ sin5 x dx. Let u = cos x, du = -sin x dx.
If m and n are both even, the integral ∫ sinmx cosn x dx can be transformed into the integral of a sum of even powers of sin x. Then the reduction formula can be used.
